Art Against Grain
01 — The House
For those who wish to truly go against the grain: a studio for testing the bounds of innovation — one piece at a time, tested before it ships, signed when it leaves.
The House of Halkett is an independent software studio for custom software development and custom web design. We take commissions — a client arrives with an idea or a missing piece, and the House forges it. Between commissions, we build complete businesses of our own — product, method, brand, and operations — and put them on the market: for sale outright, or open to finance partners who want to run them with us. Every release, commissioned or ours, runs a full automated stress harness before it ships.
The name has carried decades of manufacturing precision. It is not for sale — and neither is the standard behind it. What changed is the material. The discipline didn't.
02 — The Works · The Market
This is the House's market: what is in production, what is showing now, what has sold. Turn the file — the card on top is being presented. Open it to read; enter it to buy.
03 — Commissions
You arrive with an idea, a problem, or the part of your business that software should be doing and isn't. The House designs it, builds it, and proves it under the same discipline as its own works — one piece at a time, tested before it ships, signed when it leaves. A commission can take three forms:
The House forges your piece to your specification. You pay by milestone and the finished work is yours.
A lighter way in. The House builds and keeps the work; you license it for a monthly fee, and it is maintained, hosted, and improved for you.
You bring the idea, the market, and the backing. The House builds and operates. The returns are shared, by written agreement, from the first day.
Every commission begins with a conversation — info@houseofhalkett.com
04 — The Studio
One product at a time, built exit-ready from the first commit.
Shipped only after the stress harness says so.
Operated long enough to prove real revenue — not just working code.
Keep the ones that earn. Sell the ones that demand. Retire the rest.
Commissions keep the shop lit. House works build the estate. Every product wears its own name and stands on its own books. The HALKETT name stands above all of them — and it is the one thing that will never be sold.

05 — The Standard
Every piece that leaves the House — custom software development or custom web design — is one of a kind. No templates, no themes, no recycled code. Designed with the latest UI and UX craft, built by people who sign their work, and amplified by AI at every step. And before anything ships, AI checks it again: automated review, nightly stress harnesses, controlled release. The machine never replaces the maker — it makes the maker relentless.
Every commission is designed from a blank page — modern UI/UX, custom interaction, custom engineering. If you have seen it before, it did not come from the House.

The HALKETT mark was first used in commerce in 2011, on work you could run your hand across. Today the same mark is stamped on software — built in Pennsylvania, tested every night, and signed before it leaves the shop.
